L'avis de Gault&Millau
Chef Jacqui Ektoros uses experience gained at the high-end Guillaume at Bennelong and the Devon Cafe in Surry Hills to cater to the many and varied tastes of young, urban-dwelling Sydneysiders at breakfast and lunch. Her menu is innovative and adventurous.
Three Williams is located on busy Elizabeth Street in Redfern, and is a trendy warehouse space with exposed brick walls and concrete floors. There are leather benches along the walls and small marble and timber tables arranged throughout the space.
Three Williams signature dish is narnies, or sandwiches made with house-made flatbread. It also boasts of being seasonally driven, so when truffles are in season you could try the adventurous pairing of Peking duck with angel-hair pasta, ginger–cream sauce and truffles. Another dish incorporating the precious truffles is the moist, crispy-skinned chicken breast nestled in an ever-so-slightly-sweet Jerusalem artichoke puree alongside cavolo nero and artichoke chips.
PSST! If you want a buzzy space where you can sit alone and work on your laptop with a coffee and something to eat, this is the perfect spot.
