L'avis de Gault&Millau
Chef Ben Greeno (ex-Momofuku Seiōbo) presents a well-thought-out menu for his customers at The Paddington, with his popular chicken dish to share attracting more than 100 orders per day.
This is not your typical pub, it doesn’t even feel like one! The ambience is very welcoming from the moment you enter, and the wait staff are friendly and attentive.
The food is a step up from the usual pub food; there are a few share plates to choose from, and the quality is of the highest standard. Perhaps kick off with a crab toast, a delicious way to start your meal. Of course, the evergreen option of the popular chicken dish to share is tempting, but so too is the barramundi. Chef Greeno’s version is whole barramundi, served with green beans, shallot, kipfler potatoes and salsa verde. If the super-fresh barramundi doesn’t tempt you, then perhaps the juicy lamb rump will? Served on a bed of baba ganoush with charred grapes, pistachios and a herb salad, it’s another simply delicious option.
PSST! The Paddington offers a banquet menu for $65 per person.
