Under the watchful eye of Executive Chef Richard Ousby, Stokehouse Q has established itself as one of the best restaurants in Brisbane. Chef Ousby has designed a Mediterranean-inspired menu that takes advantage of local seafood and produce.
Located on the banks of the Brisbane River, Stokehouse Q offers superb views and an open, casual Queensland feel – this is a location to impress visitors to the city.
The style is fresh, contemporary and creative. A ceviche of West Australian scampi marinated in lime and served with a ‘leche de tigre’ lime, pepper and chilli sauce is spicy and aromatic. Moreton Bay bug salad with green mango has a great seafood flavour highlighted with salmon roe and a light seafood jus. The fillet of barramundi is tender and juicy with a crisp skin and served with a shio koji–curry leaf sauce while plump Royal Blue potato and saltbush dumplings are teamed with a dried lime XO sauce and seaweed dashi – an excellent vegetarian option.
