Snapper Rocks’ Executive Chef James Fiske has 25 years of experience, working in leading establishments across the United Kingdom and Europe. Arriving in Darwin pre-opening provided Chef Fiske with the opportunity to work with local suppliers to maximise the top local produce that is showcased on the menu.
Located in the Darwin Waterfront precinct, surrounded by landscaped parkland and with a chilled-out vibe, this fresh-looking venue offers several seating options – perfect for date night, a gathering of friends or a family celebration. The wine menu has a good, reasonably priced selection, with several options for wine by the glass, and also vegan-friendly wine.
Perhaps start with snapper ceviche or the Reef fish croquettes – a popular choice with diners, along with the hoisin beef baos. If you like a bit of heat, try the spicy jalapeño popcorn chicken. For mains, the local barramundi is succulent and, for meat lovers, the rib eye is cooked to perfection. The lamb shoulder is incredibly tender and complemented well by a full head of roasted garlic.
