The team at Scopri have created a seasonal menu that offers a variety of regional Italian dishes.
The dining room at Scopri has an understated elegance with a decor of muted shades of grey and white, but it is the small details, such as the pristine white tablecloths and sparkling glassware that mark it out as a premier Italian restaurant.
Scopri plan their menus based on the availability of produce at their farm in the Macedon Ranges. The menu features antipasti, primi, secondi and contorni, and the fresh house-made pasta is where Scopri shines. Try the fettuccine al ragu d’anatra, where silky delicate strips of pasta are paired with tender, shredded nebbiolo-infused duck ragu. From the secondi, enjoy the striking presentation of the deboned spatchcock: slices of rolled meat with a herb and sourdough stuffing are served on a sweet peperonata of onions and red peppers. Some dishes have stood the test of time, and the agnolotti del plin – pasta filled with roasted rabbit, pork and veal – is one such dish.
