Saint.Urban is a labour of love for Head Chef Daniel Schelbert (ex-Cecconi’s and Bottega) and Punch Lane owner Martin Pirc.
Saint.Urban is the bistro/wine bar that neighbourhoods long for. Mosaic-like grey floor tiles are complemented by dark bronze banquette seating and a large, decorative glass panel that opens up onto a covered outdoor verandah. Enjoy the old-world French vibes as Southern blues play in the background.
Come to Saint.Urban to snack or dine – either way you’ll be treated to a warm-hearted welcome and an excellent variety of wines. Start with a selection of bar snacks to share with the table, such as the chicharrones, consisting of pork skin that is dehydrated, flavoured with chilli and coriander and deep fried – the result is large, crispy pork crackers. Seafood is done well and the calamari is no exception: grilled, dressed with a chilli, lime and garlic dressing and accompanied by a red oak salad, this is great light dish to start.
