Danny Cecchi brings more than 25 years of culinary experience to his own establishment, RST Seafood Restaurant. Chef Cecchi sources the finest seafood in Melbourne, and enhances it with a range of interesting flavours. Walk through the tapas bar and into the restaurant, and you will discover a dining room lined with wine racks and blackboards of specials, while white linen tablecloths and napkins adorn the tables. It’s an honest and unpretentious space, making it the ideal place for a family meal.
The menu is a feast of the freshest seafood available from the market, and the dishes have been carefully crafted with Asianinspired flavours. Chilli tempura king prawns are plump and delicious, with a crispy coating. The freshness of the accompanying coriander and basmati rice is well balanced by the kick of heat from sambal sauce. Pan-fried scallop and prawn gyoza are delicately flavoured morsels, and are complemented beautifully by the sharpness of the red vinegar and ginger dipping sauce.
