This is a buzzing venue, where the music is pumping and the tequila is plentiful. Extra-large rattan lamps illuminate the long venue, where diners can sit up at the solid wooden bar, at casual low tables at the front or against the Aztec-stencilled, washed brick walls.
Inspired by regional Mexican flavours, the menu showcases an exciting collection of share plates inspired by a market-to-table philosophy. Start with the popular guacamole and enjoy with a portion of plantain chips. Ceviche appears in various forms across the menu, with ingredients fresh and light. Dip into the taco options with the popular hickory-and-honey-smoked brisket, smartly offset with tart, pink pickled onions and served in a charred, smoky taco. For a vegetarian option, the grilled cauliflower adobo packs a punch of heat from the chipotle and adobo marinade. For a smaller ‘street bite’, try the corn lollipops: charred corn topped with smoky chipotle mayo and queso fresco.
