Under the leadership of Chef Ian Curley, known for his magnificent European food, Kirk’s Wine Bar is a gorgeous all-day eatery with a particular focus on wine.
Situated in the centre of the CBD, Kirk’s is a perfect place for an all-day perch. City dwellers can duck in for a quick coffee or a leisurely long meal, and its European feel gives diners a taste of the continent.
Breakfast may include an heirloom tomato bruschetta or a traditional croque monsieur. Lunch and dinner are easy sharing plates, such as crunchy polenta chips or some saganaki with a squeeze of lemon. Steak tartare is classic, served with assortment of crisps and bread, onions, capers and hot mustard to season to your liking. Fresh beetroot-cured salmon is a pretty looking dish, with the gorgeous salmon shaped like a flower. Pastas may include house-made tagliatelle with John Dory and a puttanesca sauce. All the food can be perfectly matched with their unique and interesting wines.
