L'avis de Gault&Millau
Chef Masashi Takaku has experience in French cuisine both in Japan and Australia, so he takes on a new challenge at Kabuki Shoroku, a well-established Japanese restaurant, well-known for its traditional Japanese style of food and service, and well-trained staff dedicated to their patrons.
The restaurant can be especially busy at lunchtime, with a huge variety of dishes on offer at attractive prices. The special lunch includes salad, steamed rice and miso soup, plus any three choices from 12 options of mains, such as the sushi assortment, sashimi, tempura, or grilled oysters or scallops. With so many tempting options, it will be difficult to choose! Then there’s also a bento-box available, which is served with miso soup and rice. Their carefully selected dinner menu certainly covers all the most popular Japanese dishes and then some!
PSST! Check out the kaiseki menu, a banquet-style selection that changes seasonally to reflect the produce available and showcases the kitchen team’s versatility and innovation.
