Horn Please

L'avis de Gault&Millau

Horn Please owner/Chef Jessi Singh and wife Jennifer have also seen success with sister restaurants Dhaba and Babu Ji. They have since opened restaurants in the United States that reflect their unique vision of Indian food. Bold and beautiful, this hip mod-Indian venue has had a mini facelift, with the addition of vivid blue and pink logos that add a splash of colour to the walls. What makes Horn Please special is its modern interpretation of Indian street food, with thoughtful flavour combinations. Try the batata vada: smooth lentil and potato dumplings in a crunchy batter, topped with a lip-tingling swirl of tamarind, yoghurt and a light coriander chutney. Tandoori options feature on the menu, but dishes such as the gol gappa will stick in your memory for days after. Choose from the curry options, served in their trademark gleaming pots. The fragrant ghost khada masala features cubes of slow-cooked goat that easy fall apart into a cardamom-scented sauce, with subtle spice flavours throughout. PSST! Looking for a catering option? Horn Please can offer a tailored menu along with the presence of their colourful food truck. Reviewed for the 2019 Guide
