For years acclaimed Head Chef Geoff Lindsay has headed up this cute Elwood eatery serving inventive Vietnamese food. The inside of this little gem is warm and welcoming. Perfect for a family gathering and friendly catch-ups, it’s a crowd favourite. The wine list is concise but exemplary, with careful consideration of varieties that marry perfectly with the spices. The evolving menu consists of small and large dishes designed to share. Crisp fried green tiger prawns with a unique rice-bubble coating have been on the menu from the start. They are delicious wrapped in a lettuce leaf with a nuoc cham sauce. On cooler evenings, enjoy a bowl of steaming hot traditional pho with lovely, hearty aromatic flavours. Larger dishes include a fish of the day, such as a whole whiting in a chilli sauce. A roast duck leg has a mandarin fragrance with star anise, mustard root and a classic Vietnamese vegetable: crispy lotus. Sticky caramelised pork hock is marinated in tamarind with fragrant herbs.
