Chef Porcu’s Sardinian roots are clearly evident, with creativity, freshness and ingenuity the name of the game here. The team serve up an ever-changing array of seasonal highlights with the traditional classics acting as a golden thread. Da Noi is nestled in a delightful setting on Toorak Road. Although smart white linen dresses the tables, there’s no denying the comfortable and homely feel of this quaint establishment. It would be possible to dine here every night and never tire of the food, such is the commitment to a daily-changing menu. So, there’s no set menu, just beautifully balanced dishes from the moment the journey begins. When you visit, perhaps there’ll be oysters coupled with a subtle citrus-flavoured sorbet, or chargrilled octopus, or a generous portion of juicy roast suckling pig sourced from the Da Noi farm.
