This traditional family-owned steakhouse serves Australian wagyu that has been expertly aged and prepared on-site. Locals flock to the restaurant for the high-quality produce and the simple but tasty dishes created by Fabian Caminiti. Charcoal Grill on the Hill is a bustling, two-storey venue that makes you feel like you are dining at a friend’s house. The cosy decor gives the restaurant a warm, intimate ambience; it is ideal for a casual dinner.
This restaurant is a haven for meat lovers, and the main drawcard is the excellent steak. If you’re not sure which cut is for you, the staff members will recommend one. The 300g scotch fillet steak is well marbled and juicy, while the 300g porterhouse is leaner and denser, but just as tender. Each steak is cooked perfectly to order and presented simply on the plate, but it comes with sides of crispy fries, cos lettuce enhanced by a tangy vinaigrette dressing, plus colourful shredded cabbage.
