Bronte Road Bistro
L'avis de Gault&Millau
Since 2011, Head Chef Matthew Barnett has warmly welcomed people to his bistro and given them a real home-cooked experience.
Bronte Road Bistro feels like you are entering someone’s house and into their dining room. It is casual and comfortable, yet sophisticated with a personal touch.
Once you’ve been greeted with a smile, you are presented with a one-page, crowd-pleasing menu with a focus on fresh ingredients and French flair. There’s something for everyone, with steak tartare, kingfish crudo, duck liver parfait and more to start, before moving onto mains like the steak frites – a perfect, tender piece of steak with salted fries and a very satisfying café de Paris butter. It’s a standout! For a real French delicacy, choose the confit duck leg, while fans of fish should try the Mt Alpine salmon. Make sure you leave room for the incredible sides and salads. The hot, bubbling cauliflower gratin is a must-try, especially for cheese lovers!
PSST! With a remarkable wine list, featuring wines from all over the world, Bronte Road Bistro is perfect for family gatherings or a casual but classy date night!
