This cosy eatery, led by Head Chef Sebastian McQuarrie, has classic modern Australian bistro dishes and delicious wine bar snacks using exceptional produce. Whether you’re in for a quick bite and vino or happy to spend the afternoon in the sunshine at the outdoor seating, the place has a lovely buzz with charming, chatty service. To nibble on, you could start with a seared scallop and finger lime, which has an unusual twist of bottarga and chicken crackle, or there’s a sardine on toast, with tomato gel and pepperberry. Otherwise, play it safe with their classic beef and red wine sausage rolls with tomato chutney. A mountain of fresh seafood arrives in the BT seafood spaghetti: calamari, scallops and mussels in a tomato, chilli and white wine sauce. Specialising in grass-fed steak, their premium-quality meat is cooked to perfection on their grill and served with house sides. Fish of the day may include a dory, served whole with a burnt butter and sage sauce. PSST! During Happy Hour (4–6pm every night) you can enjoy $10 espresso martinis and $10 negronis.
