Frank Camorra of MoVida fame is once again impressing local foodies with his latest restaurant. Chef Ewan Crawford has come across from MoVida Aqui to head up the kitchen in the funky Hosier Lane venue in the CBD.
Based on a classic bodega, the restaurant is more bar/store where diners are looking for quick, casual service with great flavours and an ‘experience dining occasion’ rather than a classic meal!
As you would expect, the menu is full of big, bold flavours. Don’t be afraid to try the ‘tins’ … yes, tins of baby mackerel, cuca-stuffed baby calamari and, of course, sardines and anchovies, to name just a few. The tapas are excellent, as you would expect, as are the montaditos (open sandwiches) for a light casual meal. If you’re hankering for something more substantial, then check out some of Bar Tini's shared meals such as the sobrasada – Catalan baked pork sausage and honey – exceptional!
PSST! Use the opportunity to fall in love with sherry again. With an excellent selection and a knowledgeable bar team, there’s sure to be something new to try.
