Enter Bar Idda and be transported to an authentic, rustic Sicilian restaurant. Wooden tables are cosy and encourage intimate conversations. Hanging greenery is complemented by soft lighting in this classic, heritage-listed building.
Designed to share, the menu is collection of small and large plates that showcase fresh seasonal ingredients. Come with family or friends and share in some fresh salami, house pickles and olives. Try the caponata as a side or an entree and enjoy a medley of smoky sweet and tangy flavours. Smoky diced eggplant, capers and olives are served on a bed of smooth pureed chickpea that cuts through the richness nicely. House-made gnocchetti is served with an earthy mushroom puree, florets of broccoli and a light oil dressing. The purpetti dolce is a popular dish with fragrant beef, almond, pine nut, currant and cinnamon meatballs served with a hearty passata.
