The classic European menu thoughtfully constructed by Chef Kevin Coux serves this grand dame of Sydney CBD restaurants well.
Now in its 21st year, it’s as popular for a candle-lit dinner as it is for a business lunch. Bambini Trust offers French and Italian style and elegance matched with a knockout wine selection. The dark wood panels, ornate mirrors, chandeliers and white linen set the scene for a special occasion in the historic sandstone building that houses the restaurant. The active central kitchen is the focus of the dining room.
Start with a seasonal aperitif and well-selected antipasti, including aged pecorino Romano and Ligurian olives. From the pasta selection, try the signature ‘Bambini’ spaghettini, beautifully al dente, with plump Yamba prawns swimming in a rich chilli and garlic sauce. Cotoletta Milanese is a crisp parmesan-crumbed veal cutlet with aromatic fried sage leaves, lounging on a perfectly charred wedge of bittersweet golden endive. Ramp it up with truffled parmesan French fries.
