The sharing-style menu starts with appetisers such as freshly shucked oysters. Options from the selection of small plates include plump purple tuna tataki on a pickled vegetable salad with avocado puree and sesame crackers, or kingfish sashimi, a pretty dish with crisp apple and pickled ginger. The milk buns are a gorgeous bite, filled with crunchy tempura soft-shell crab with chipotle sauce. Mains may include a roast pork belly with pumpkin puree, apple and spicy hoisin or a crispy-skinned ora salmon fillet with cherry tomatoes, black bean and basil. There are several steak options, including grass- and grain-fed cuts, and the sides may be a quinoa salad with juicy currants, roasted broccoli and almonds.
