Executive Chef Chris Wade learned his trade from some of the best chefs in the world. He has a passion for excellent meat, and the menu at Steak Ministry Bar & Grill is a reflection of his ability to source the best produce from local farms. This good-looking restaurant is all timber, driftwood and leather. Staff members are friendly and knowledgeable.
Although the focus is on steaks, there are some seafood and vegetarian delights on the menu, too. Tempura king prawns are well coated in spicy breadcrumbs and fried to perfection. They are attractively served in a glass, on a bed of shredded lettuce, mango gel, freeze-dried mango and yuzu-flavoured mayonnaise. Cooked medium–rare, wagyu eye fillet has a marble score of 6. Bearnaise sauce is a great match, as the tarragon flavour and acidity complement the meat’s richness.
PSST! If you are a true steak lover, consider ordering The Tomahawk – it comprises 1.2–2.8kg of Sher F1 Wagyu beef!
