Now in its second year, the team at Sotto Sopra – headed up by Executive Chef and Managing Director Alessandro Pavoni and Head Chef Mattia Rossi – have found their feet and continue to impress clients with an exceptional balance of great food, great service and great ambience.
The dining room is small, but now with a heated, covered outdoor area they have created a modern Italian restaurant that is casual in style.
The menu has been refined over the past 18 months and is now concise with tempting traditional options. Tortino di baccala (salted cod fish pie) is a great example of a classic, marrying flavoursome cod with wilted spinach and fluffy puff pastry. Gnocchi all’amatriciana (gnocchi with cured Kurobuta pork cheek, San Marzano tomato and pecorino) is generous in both portion and flavour. This is beautifully cooked fresh pasta with melt-in-the-mouth pork cheek as only an Italian chef can do!
