Executive Chef Garen Maskal of SEZAR fame is renowned for his excellent and unique Armenian fare. He is joined in the Shukah kitchen by Head Chef Sean Thomas (formerly of Gingerboy). The menu features the same delicious Middle Eastern spices and flavours as SEZAR, but the restaurant is much more casual and appealing to the Gen Y crowd. The smallish dining room has a bustling atmosphere and an open kitchen.
Order a few of the tasty tapas-like dishes and enjoy a fantastic feast. Grilled haloumi is a hunk of happiness on a plate! It is served on a bed of more-ish braised mushrooms and velvety smooth spinach sauce. Pomegranate-glazed lamb shoulder is a glorious piece of meat that has been slow roasted to perfection. The tart but balanced glaze is offset by the richness of buttery rice and the mildness of zucchini.
PSST! The Pom Pom mocktail is superb – the blend of pomegranate, spices and soda is creative and refreshing.
