Egyptian-born Head Chef Mohamed Kharboush has worked with some of the major hotel groups and at local Sydney restaurants. Now at Sefa Kitchen, his creativity with the Middle Eastern cuisine is sensational.
The ambience at Sefa Kitchen is inviting and cosy, with decor very much in keeping with the cuisine on offer. Service is friendly and attentive, and the staff are happy to suggest dishes to try.
The menu offers a delightful range of dishes from the Middle East region, and incorporates rare spices, flavours and combinations particular to the cuisine. Lamb el helou delivers slow-cooked, melt-in-the-mouth meat, so soft it can cut it with a fork, offset with the tang of house-made pickles. Or you could try one of the vegetarian options, such as the beetroot dish that brings together the robust flavour of beetroot with bulghur, fetta, almonds and smooth hummus. For those who can’t decide – or simply want to sample of bit of everything – Sefa Kitchen offers two set menus: the Orient and the Carpet Ride.
PSST! To conclude your meal, Sefa Kitchen offers cheese, international dessert wine, coffee and a selection of unusual hot drinks.
