Saké Restaurant and Bar is located on the ground floor of the prestigious InterContinental Sydney Double Bay. Clean lines and chic Scandi-style furnishings give this popular restaurant a modern, upmarket feel. The main dining area features a sushi bar and cocktail bar, along with convertible private rooms, and the large windows allow for people-watching from the comfort of your seat.
Sake’s menu offers Japanese-influenced dishes. Using essential Japanese ingredients and quality produce in their izakaya-style dishes pays dividends, resulting in dishes that are quite the taste sensation. The corn with white pepper, yukari and kombu butter is a simple dish, elevated by the superb quality of the produce. Served in the husk, the corn is topped with a handful of katsuobushi (bonito flakes), which adds an interesting dynamic. For mains, try the teriyaki lamb chop – the marinated grilled meat is served with lightly pickled cabbage and dashi.
PSST! Check out the special lunch menu, great value at $60pp for seven courses.
