John Psanis is the driving force behind the creative modern European menu at Quaff Restaurant. Chef Psanis draws on his solid experience at top restaurants such as The Botanical and Paysan to deliver a bounty of produce-driven dishes. Quaff Restaurant is an elegant, contemporary venue located in the centre of leafy Toorak village. Pristine crisp white tablecloths are offset beautifully by dark-wood panelling, and the service is both professional and attentive.
From seafood and pasta to steak and salad, Chef Psanis’s appealing menu covers every culinary desire. Watermelon, ricotta and sorrel salad with red wine toffee sauce is a light and colourful offering with a simple but effective combination of ingredients. The ricotta is smooth and creamy, while the divine sauce adds a sweet and sticky kick. Homemade fettuccine with baby tiger prawns, chilli, garlic and lemon features silky pasta and a generous portion of prawns. Slices of softened onion contribute a satisfying bite.
PSST! Two stylish rooms upstairs – the Crystal Room and the White Room – are available for hire, and are suitable for anything from a party to a wedding reception.
