Prime is set in a sandstone basement, with shadows cast over the walls from the natural rock. It is romantic, dark and dimly lit, with the vibe of a classy New York steakhouse.
As a starter, the smoked and cured trout is a simple yet elegant dish, delicately plated, served with a warm, freshly baked bagel, fluffy light cream cheese and mint and basil tzatziki. The Prime yearling fillet is presented in a minimalist yet beautiful way. The meat is soft, tender and juicy and is paired with silky and soft, perfectly salted mash, roasted cherry tomatoes and a rich blue cheese sauce.
