Since opening Preserve Kitchen in 2010, owner and veteran chef Jason Aitken has continually reinvented the restaurant’s contemporary menu to showcase the best of local and seasonal produce. This keeps diners coming back for more. Crisp white walls contrast well with the dark-wood furniture, creating an understated yet classic ambience. Preserve Kitchen is ideal for a cosy dinner for two, or a quiet catch-up with friends.
Diners will be hard-pressed to make a choice from the rather extensive menu – particularly with the delicious daily specials also on offer! Meat lovers will enjoy the Black Angus eye fillet. The steak is served with a subtle truffle jus, royal blue potato puree and baby spinach, but it is the quality of the beef that shines through. Crispy confit duck legs boast wonderfully crusty skin encasing tender, succulent meat. The accompanying salad is a satisfying mix of textures, with red cabbage and hazelnuts adding a necessary crunch.
PSST! If you or your fellow diners have any mobility issues, make sure you request a table downstairs when you book.
