Chef Kim Brennan has been running Post at COMO The Treasury for more than three years now, and the restaurant is still as busy as day one – no secret there, when you produce great food complemented with lovely service.
Quite bright during the day, intimate at night, Post is located in the middle of the State Buildings. It’s the perfect spot for a business lunch, a casual dinner or a bite after work.
An Italian menu, well explained by the wait staff, will transport you back to the Mediterranean. To start off, the Fremantle octopus is a must, while aficionados of carpaccio will enjoy the veal battuta with artichoke, apple and Manjimup truffle. Mains include pasta, risotto, fish or meat. Perhaps try the strozzapreti with anise-braised pork, cavolo nero and pangrattato, or maybe you will be tempted by the classic melt-in-the-mouth beef cheek served with polenta, gremolata and horseradish? If you have a large appetite, the 450g rib eye is tender and delightful.
PSST! Lunch in a hurry? Check out Post’s Pranzetto (quick lunch) offer: a pasta dish with a glass of wine for $30.
