UPDATE: Cristiano Patacca now leads the kitchen team at Pino's, with Bar Manager Nicola Morra in charge of the tempting cocktails and beverages.
Head Chef Matteo Boschiero Preto’s Italian food is simple, yet perfectly executed, flavoursome and excites both the tastebuds and the eye.
Pino’s Vino e Cucina is a romantic, modern neighbourhood Italian restaurant in a vintage setting with subtle decor, which gives the establishment a distinctively authentic Italian feel. Service is excellent in this comfortable space in which to enjoy a memorable Italian dining experience.
The burrata is a simple but expertly executed dish that’s well worth a try. The cheese’s delicate, creamy filling pairs well with the quintessential combination of fresh, intensely ripe tomatoes topped with fresh basil, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt. The tender and smoky charred octopus is equally satisfying to the senses. Served on a bed of black garlic potatoes and micro-leaves, it is complemented by a lightly spicy bravas-style sauce. As a main, try the fish of the day; the fish is presented on a bed of pureed asparagus, and paired with a combination of crunchy asparagus slivers, juicy confit cherry tomatoes and chargrilled fennel.
