Nobuyuki (Nobu) Matsuhisa has 29 restaurants around the world bearing his name. At the Crown Perth venue, Executive Chef Leif Huru ensures Nobu sets the benchmark for Japanese fine dining on the local scene.
The decor is modern with a glorious central lighting feature of cascading glass bubbles, and the view of the resort-style pool sets a relaxed ambience. There’s a lovely little sake bar, too, again with pool views. A team of sushi chefs display incredible knife skills as they wow diners seated at the high-top table.
Nobu’s menu offers beautifully presented ‘tapas-style’ dishes, with flavours being a fusion of Japanese and South American. Perhaps start with the edamame with sea salt and then move on to Nobu’s lobster tacos. These tasty morsels feature beautifully seasoned lobster meat in a light and perfectly crisp shell. Resembling artwork on a plate, octopus carpaccio features precision-sliced octopus accompanied by two dipping sauces.
PSST! For fans of teppanyaki, there are two special private teppan tables available to book.
