Chef de Cuisine Michael Harrison has worked with some of the city’s leading chefs. He joined No35 in March 2018 and has made his mark on the menu.
Housed in the luxe Sofitel Melbourne On Collins, the restaurant has one of the best views in the city along with high-quality cuisine. The ambience is dominated by the floor-to-ceiling windows and understated yet classic setting.
While the view draws one’s attention outwards, the menu within provides a range of delights depending on your mood. Freshly shucked oysters, duck liver parfait or kingfish crudo make for a light entree. There’s a nice array of mains, from saffron and potato gnocchi to roasted cauliflower, or, for meat lovers, there is the Aylesbury duck breast, the six-hour spiced lamb (for two) or the chef’s grill, sourced directly by the chef, perfectly seasoned and quite the serious sirloin steak. The stellar wine list means perfect matching, which is suggested next to each menu item.
PSST! Be sure to book for dinner and ask for a table by the window to enjoy the spectacle of the city at night.
