Owner/chef Joseph Vargetto’s well-thought-out menu represents Italian fare at its finest. Taking over what was formerly Benito’s, Massi is quaintly charming. The decor is a mix of modern and traditional, and its limited seating makes for a cosy little eatery. It is ideal for a business lunch or an intimate dinner.
The casual and comfortable menu is dominated by sharing plates and pastas. Dusted + fried calamari comprises curls of lightly battered squid sitting on a Sicilian salad. The salad contrasts the sweetness of currants and the saltiness of capers, and the whole dish is brought together by a herby salmoriglio dressing. Saffron cavatelli pescatore features handmade pasta tossed with fresh mussels, prawns, scallops and a divine garlic and olive oil sauce. A hint of chilli is the perfect finishing touch.
PSST! Massi takes corporate bookings, so why not choose the restaurant to host your next company function?
