Owner/chef Lucio De Falco was born and raised in Naples and became a full-time pizzaiolo when he left school. He brought those artisan traditions to Australia and remains devoted to the rules of the AVPN, of which he is a resolute member. His cosy and busy pizzeria in Darlinghurst is a most inviting dining experience, with indoor and outdoor seating options. Solo diners, couples, and groups who enjoy casual and focused dining, are all made to feel welcome at this enticing spot.
While the speciality is napoletana pizza, there is a small selection of antipasti available too. Salt and pepper calamari is cooked al dente and the seasoning does not overwhelm. Pizzas feature buffalo mozzarella with a multitude of topping choices. Given Chef De Falco’s AVPN membership, all feature charred, leavened and ‘puffed’ crusts – truly authentic. Nothing says Naples more than the Tonno pizza, featuring a topping of tuna, tomato, onions and oregano!
