La Luna Bistro is led by Chef Adrian Richardson’s focus on local, fresh ingredients that provide consistent high-quality cuisine. His menu centres on pan-Mediterranean cuisine and delicious meats.
The wood-panelled and black-walled restaurant environment provides a lovely ambience to focus on good conversation over delicious food with a service approach that is both informed and attentive, yet relaxed.
The care taken in the selection and preparation of ingredients across the entire menu is obvious … there’s even an in-house butcher to dry-age meats and smallgoods to perfection. Begin with a delectable tasting platter of said smallgoods or share some small dishes, choosing from the delicate steak tartare, the grilled eggplant with olive salsa or the house-smoked salmon with beetroot. Then move on to the main event with a freshly made pappardelle with spicy Sicilian chilli beef ragu, or a stunning 1kg lamb shoulder to share, although it’s hard to go past the beef cuts from the grill.
PSST! Too hard to choose? Take the Chef’s Feast and leave the decisions to the experts, who will also match the dishes with some of their favourite wines.
