As with all venues controlled by Ian Curley, Kirk’s Wine Bar presents European food with a high level of authenticity and style. The menu is designed to match the great wines on offer, and is well implemented by Sukhdeep Singh. Kirk’s Wine Bar is the ideal spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The relaxed and comfortable environment is reminiscent of a Parisian bistro.
Food and wine are a marriage made in heaven at Kirk’s Wine Bar. Pork terrine is perfectly executed, and it comes with cornichons, Dijon mustard and chargrilled ciabatta bread. The acidity of the cornichons and the bite of the mustard balance the rich flavour of the tender, well-seasoned terrine. Sirloin pepper steak is cooked to order and served on a bed of tasty celeriac salad. The pepper sauce is relatively mild, so it doesn’t overwhelm the tastebuds.
