A family affair run by Jessi and Jennifer Singh, Horn Please was opened following the success of Dhaba at the Mill in Kyneton. Head Chef Jessi Singh’s passion for cooking started from an early age, and his focus is on simple Indian food made from quality ingredients. The spacious dining area features kitsch Indian portraits and classic Indian movies projected onto the wall.
Chef Singh serves clever and flavoursome Indian food, and he has a flair for presentation. Gol gappa comprises crisp puri shells filled with spiced and diced potato. They are playfully served atop shot glasses brimming with tamarind, mint and yoghurt. Coconut fish curry sees chunks of blue grenadier simmering in a fragrant and creamy sauce of fenugreek, turmeric and mustard. The sauce is so delicious that you will want to soak up any leftovers with naan bread.
PSST! Those on a gluten-free diet can rejoice – the majority of the dishes on the menu are made without gluten.
