WA born and bred Jed Gerrard – recently at COMO The Treasury’s Wildflower – has now taken on the role of Executive Chef at Hearth, at the Ritz-Carlton on Elizabeth Quay.
A beautiful new venue in the heart of Perth's CBD, Hearth is grandiose, with high ceilings and expansive windows to take in the view of Elizabeth Quay. Fitted out with elegant pendant lights and marble tables, the restaurant is welcoming, as are the friendly staff.
Chef Gerrard’s menu showcases Western Australian produce. Working closely with local growers, farmers and fisheries, Jed is cooking up a storm, delivering an authentic WA taste with a strong focus on sustainability. To start, choose from classic king prawn from Exmouth, Albany rock oyster or the appetising Manjimup marron. Vegetarians will be pleasantly surprised with the Arthur River youlk. As the restaurant name suggests, the meat is gently charcoal grilled – the Mottainai lamb melts in the mouth, as does the 45-day dry-aged Gingin grass-fed beef. For meat lovers or those who prefer to share, there’s the 2kg Tomahawk Futari Wagyu!
PSST! Leave room for cheese, it's served on a trolley!
