Executive Chef Ian Curley teams up with Head Chef Todd Moses to create European-inspired cuisine at French Saloon.
The sophisticated and romantic attic-like dining room has an enchanting feel, where you can while away an evening sipping on a glass of burgundy, indulging in a plate of oysters and some fabulously fine European fare. Their carefully crafted wine list has options from around the globe, with passionate wine enthusiasts to explain each one.
You could start with a house-made charcuterie plate, or a classic steak tartare with the perfect amount of seasoning, the yolk poised to melt through the tasty meat, and French crisps to munch on. There’s a selection of biftek (steak), including grass- and grain-fed, hand-cut options, such as a 700g dry-aged Cape Grim ‘côte de boeuf’ – perfect for a sharing table. Other large dishes include fillets of fleshy John Dory with a borlotti bean and mussel cassoulet and a green goddess sauce and roasted free-range chicken with forest mushrooms and artichoke.
PSST! French Saloon has an excellent private dining room perfect for both work and social functions.
