Foys has been operating out of the Sydney Flying Squadron since 2015 and has established itself as a favourite on Sydney’s Lower North Shore for its beautifully presented dining in a gorgeous harbourside setting. Head Chef Anthony O’Shea displays his skills in bringing new twists and excellent execution to classic dishes that will please traditionalists and more serious dining lovers.
Foys is situated right on the water of one Sydney’s lovely harbour inlets. Inside befits its nautical setting with a touch of greenery from its surrounds.
The roast fennel and citrus salad with whipped goat cheese is a generously sized entree with great harmonies between the different textures and flavours – a treat for the eyes and mouth. Spanner crab spaghettini is a wonderful pasta dish that is taken to the next level by the addition of bottarga and pangrattato, giving it crunch and savouriness. The chilli is slow to warm and preserved lemon adds a slight rich sweetness to the dish.
PSST! When the weather is nice, there’s high demand for their outside tables that put diners right next to the harbour.
