Owner Benjamin Moechtar sources his inspiration for authentic flavours straight from Spain. As a leading sommelier, he has compiled an extensive offering of exquisite wines, well matched to the tasty dishes on offer. A casual, relaxed neighbourhood restaurant, Delicado Foods captures the essence of Spain. Dine in the rustic, leafy outdoor area, or upstairs in the attractive dining room.
The menu features modern and traditional Spanish cuisine, including a large, mouth-watering selection of tapas for sharing. Empanada pastry filled with confit pork is both crunchy and succulent; the addition of two salsa sauces adds a pleasant tangy finish. There is an interesting choice of main courses, also meant for sharing. Be tempted by juicy, tender, slow-cooked beef cheeks dressed in a sherry jus, sitting on a bed of lima beans and topped with a salad – a luscious combination of flavours and textures.
PSST! After dinner, check out Delicado’s adjoining bottle shop, stocking unique wines from around the world.
