Italian favourite Cicciolina has been serving outstanding wholesome food for over 25 years. These days, the authentic kitchen is headed up by chefs Virginia Redmond and Michelle Elia, who showcase their passion for rustic but hearty Italian cuisine.
With wooden tables and vintage posters, this divinely romantic setting is perfect for date night or a relaxed but formal dinner with friends.
The constantly evolving menu scribbled on a chalkboard may include a steak tartare with a twist. Arriving on a bed of sour cream with crisps of potato and beetroot, the finely sliced premium beef is topped with two miniature fried quail eggs. Yellowfin tuna carpaccio covers the plate like a purple flower with crunchy chargrilled sourdough, capers and a drizzle of lime-infused olive oil. Fish of the day may be a roasted dory on a bed of saffron moghrabieh with peas, parsley and a crisp soft-shell crab on top.
PSST! On sunny days, the outdoor area is opened up – perfect for an Aperol spritz in the sunshine, just like in Italy.
