After completing his apprenticeship at Centonove, Chef Patrick Fletcher then travelled around Italy, building on his skills and his passion for Italian food. He has now returned to Centonove to lead the kitchen team.
Since opening Centonove, owners Jesse and Kym Davidson have built a highly regarded suburban restaurant that oozes their personality and passion for their customers and Italian food and wine. The space is warm and inviting, with attractive art on the dark wall contrasting white tablecloths. Service, led by Jesse and Kym, is personal and professional.
The menu is classic Italian, with favourites from across the country. Crudo of yellowtail kingfish and salmon is a great primi. The fish complement each other in flavour and colour, nicely spiced up with chilli and ginger, and topped with intriguing avruga caviar. Secondi of Berkshire braised pork neck, presents pickled and fried shallots and tart mustard fruit that all team well with the pork, with a delicious jus and a delicate cauliflower puree finishing off this dish perfectly.
PSST! Engage with Jesse in your selection of Italian wines – his knowledge is first hand and extensive.
