Owner Simon Psaros has created a friendly neighbourhood staple in Brika, and Head Chef George Tsimpidis offers a fabulous menu of Greek favourites. From the blue and white stripes on the outside wall to the drachmas set into the concrete floors and the modern graffiti artwork, it’s a little slice of Lesbos in Perth, with the option to dine indoors or out.
Anyone who loves Greek food will be in heaven at Brika, with choices ranging from mezze and salads to seafood and meats. Spanakopita comprises three cigar-shaped pastry rolls filled with spinach, leek and three-cheese poura. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, these tasty gems will whet your appetite for what’s to come. Prawn saganaki is another cheesy delight, combining juicy prawns, tomato braise and fetta in one yummy dish. Meat lovers will enjoy the beef brisket stifado, a rich red-wine stew with onions and potatoes.
PSST! Brika is located within walking distance of nib stadium, so it’s a great place to dine before or after a game.
