Head Chef Dusty Treweek started his career at Stokehouse before moving on to Comme. He successfully takes traditional Italian flavours and presents them in a modern context.
Situated in the heart of the CBD’s Italian district, this enchanting restaurant is a welcome escape from the busy crowds. The venue is decorated with light grey hues and soft feature lighting.
Inspired by regional Italian cuisine, the menu offers an array of modern Italian dishes. Start with some taleggio and leek croquettes: crunchy batons filled with a creamy taleggio and potato filling to whet your appetite. House-made pasta is done exceptionally well – the ricotta gnocchi is served with braised Rutherglen lamb, flavoured with mint and topped with fine shards of pecorino. For a modern interpretation on a classic, try the spaghetti alla chittara al nero, a rich puttanesca featuring sardines, capers and tomato. For something lighter, try the baby snapper fillet, served with charred nettle gnocchi and a medley of diced Jerusalem artichoke and black olives.
PSST! An elegant private upstairs dining room offers seating for up to 60 people.
