Bill Granger has served up creative and fresh brunches for decades, with his Darlinghurst location the birthplace of his now multinational empire. The recently revamped restaurant features plenty of white, and with sunshine pouring through the windows, tan wooden tables with bowls of eggs and fruit displayed, and bright young wait staff moving efficiently between tables, bills is a breath of summer.
There’s a small but well-selected wine list and thoughtfully constructed menus offering something for everyone. A chopped salad is a great lunch option for the more health conscious. Loaded with edamame and tofu and finished with a citrus and sesame dressing, this salad is modern Australian with a twist of Asia. If you’re after something more substantial, the yellow fish curry is delicate and light, with long slivers of cucumber, brown rice and sweet potato.
PSST! If you like what bills is serving, why not grab one of Bill Granger’s books and try some recipes at home.
