Bicicletta offers an extensive range covering antipasti, a page full of pizzas, pasta and secondi, all worthy of gracing an eclectic classic Italian menu.
The elegant Peppers Hotel is host to this fine all-rounder that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The low-rise pavilion is part rustic, part modern and Bicicletta sits serenely along the internal leafy courtyard.
Start with capesante – burnished pan-seared scallops with a thick, rich red capsicum puree lightened by a brunoise of green apple with lime and finished with salmon roe pearls. Or try the artist’s palette of rosy pink veal carpaccio dotted with saffron puree and a vinaigrette-dressed tangle of rocket, radish and fennel. Fluffy house-made pumpkin and potato gnocchi with roasted beets and herb pesto sauce features among the tempting pasta options. Of course you could opt for pizza, risotto of the day, or perhaps try the grilled lamb cutlets scented with rosemary, garlic and thyme atop glossy, black Sicilian olives and sliced golden kipflers.
PSST! Roll up to the pizza window between noon and 3pm each day and pick up your favourite slice or panini.
