Basta Italian Osteria is a hidden gem at the top end of Gertrude Street- a place often overlooked as a destination for weekend brunch or lunch - until now! They are now serving up a delicious combination of Italian classics and Australian favourites that represent the culinary ethos of it's owner's Italian homeland: flavoursome, homemade food shared amongst friends and family.
This also extends to the restaurant’s layout. Spread over two floors, there’s enough room inside and outside for any kind of gathering. There are cosy corners for a romantic evening, bar stools for friends wanting to catch up whilst watching the theatre of our kitchen, and large tables for a big family reunion.
