Bar Nacional is part of the Collins Square Hospitality Group, which also owns Chiara and Long Shot. Group Executive Chef Darryl Hand has created a Spanish tapas menu using classic recipes with a modern twist. Featuring large windows overlooking Collins Street, the restaurant has exposed bricks adorned with bright wine racks. It is the perfect place to unwind after work.
With a large selection of tapas and charcuterie, there are grazing options aplenty. Trucha de mar curado is a fresh and colourful composition served on a rectangular plate. This sublime dish comprises citrus-cured trout with mandarin slices, salt-baked cherry tomatoes and finely sliced pickled shallots. Simple but unmissable, filete flank is a Black Angus flank steak cooked in a wood-fire oven. It offers intense smoky aromas and beautifully tender meat.
PSST! Bar Nacional has two Business Lunch menus – two courses for $25, or three courses for $29, with a glass of wine or beer included.
