This gorgeous eatery, tucked down a Melbourne CBD alleyway, pleases customers with its eclectic interior full of ornaments, pictures and random mismatched items that give a fun vibe. Start with their classic kingfish pancetta and lemon oil. This dainty dish is of exceptional quality, and each mouthful is delicate and delightful. Served as a traditional racione, garlic-cream mushrooms have always been a highlight, with simple bread to soak up the delectable sauce. Meltingly moist slow-cooked lamb has an interesting black lentil accompaniment and an almond-cream emulsion. Pair this dish with a Spanish grenache, which, like many of the wines on offer, is available by the half bottle.
